How to Recognize a Fake Job Offer Letter
71There are no shortages of people on this planet who try to manipulate the adverse conditions of someone in their advantage. The same is the case with the recent flow of fake job offers in India.
The process of fake job offers is very simple. Students searching for job generally apply at various places including at the sites of placement agencies. Every passing day without job becomes tough for students. Suddenly, they found an email which asks them to deposit certain amount of money in lieu of appointment letter of a top IT company. They found everything from the letter to the mail to be quite faithful and in most cases make the payment. After depositing money, little they can do other than making a police complaint.
In some extreme cases which have been seen in Hyderabad and Chennai, fraudsters started a legal IT company and asked students to deposit security to work with them. Later, the company evaporated cheating employees in day light.
How to Get Rid of Fake Job Offers
- Email Address: First thing that a student must see is the email address from which they have got the job offer. No company, whatever the size may be, will send an official communication like appointment letter to a free mail. A job offer from TCS will always come from @tcs.com not from @gmail.com or yahoo or hotmail. This is the biggest clue to decipher the real motive behind a job offer.
- Deposit Money: No company asks for consultancy fee to recruit an employee. In fact, companies expend large amount of money to recruit employee. It is one of the biggest internal policies for them. If you have got an offer letter from an established company then rest assured that they will never asked for any sort of money. If money is being demanded then certainly that offer letter is fake and worth deleting or forwarding to the inbox of police control room.
- In certain cases, companies ask money as bond from fresher students. They ask money as a bond which will be refunded to them after some time. However, every company will ask money in DD or Cheque in favor of the legal name of the company, not in favor of an employee. For example, KPIT Cummins will ask to submit a DD of certain amount made in favor of KPIT Cummins.

one more thing some times the fake mail offer is also through spoofed mail so the job offer will be from the mail like noreplay@tcs.com or some thing @tcs.com but it is actually not from tcs the spoof mail comes here . to check weather the mail is spoof or fake just google how to find orgin of spam mail and with that ip track the orginal mail server if it is from tcs.com domail then its true or its its falls any doubts regarding or tracing an email feel free to contact me at rmnaggappan@yahoo.co.in
