By IndiJobs

Gaffar Market in Delhi is one of the most famous markets in India for electronics items. Previously this market was known for its penchant for imported goods from electronics to apparels to toys to crockery at less than the official price, however, now it is primarily known for being the biggest second hand mobile market of India.

Gaffar Market may be said to be a well managed grey market of India. It is the only market where you can expect to find products which have just been launched in the USA. It was the market which served people to keep iPhone and iPad before the official launch in India.

Mobile Shopping

Recently, Gaffar Market is primarily known for Mobile Shopping, particularly second hand mobiles. The charges were leveled against the shopkeepers of this market for keeping stolen phone and selling them as genuine second hand phone. The Delhi Police made a crack down on the market and now if one goes to sell a mobile phone the shopkeepers ask for Identity Proof. Whatever, when it comes to second hand mobile phone none can compare with the depth, range, and price variation of Gaffar Market.

The market also offers standard troubleshooting for all types of electronic gadgets and gizmos.

Bargaining Power

If you are going to shop in Gaffar Market – for second hand or brand new products – then keep this in mind that you need to have proficiency in bargaining. Choose a product and bargain to hell. Don’t worry shopkeepers are used to rough bargaining there and they seldom get irritated. If you are buying a second hand products like mobile phones then reduce the first quoted price to half and then bargain. Bargaining is the best way to get perfect price from Gaffar Market.

You should also remain a bit cautious. Always cross check all functions of your products before shopkeepers because no way they will offer any sort of guarantee or warranty.

The market always remains heavily crowded, so you need to be remain a bit alert.

How to Reach

Gaffar Market comes under the ambit of famous Karol Bagh. Karol Bagh is well connected from all parts of Delhi. Karol Bagh also hosts a Delhi Metro Station on its own name. Going there through Delhi Metro is the best way. Get down from Metro at Karol Bagh station and ask someone about Gaffar Market, or better hire a rickshaw.
