Famous Indians Working in Google

When it comes to technological innovations, India is second to none - even though the spirit of entrepreneurship is yet to be evolved in the country. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has done a great service to the planet Earth by producing some of the exceptional technological minds.

Google is undoubtedly the king of the internet world. With more than 80% share of Web Search and more than 40% share of online advertising it is the reigning king.

Currently, Google is also the first choice for jobs among IITians. Facebook is fighting with it to get toppers from IITs by offering lump-sum salary. However, Google remained the most preferred destinations.

Let's have a look on some Indians who have contributed immensely into the staggering success of Google. The list contains very few names as it is impossible to name more than 2000 software engineers and managers in a single article.

Hello everyone....stop criticising others.....if u can do it ,do it but stop criticising them..but I would like 2 say 1 thing..america is a developped country, but India is still a developing one...make it developped...prove that @There are Indians behind every successfull world class project or product" _______Indian

If Amit Singhal can re-write google, then what is so great about it. He is still a servant of Larry & Sergey. He does nto own anything. He is paying all tax to U.S. He is earning there. He has studied that subject and he is good at it. Studying in IIT. Taking all the education and then selling it to foreigners... Is this a great job ?!! Then we say India is not good, India is backward, there is lack of automation in India, 1.2 bn ppl, but still only 1 S/W product dev company. We all are service minded & we are good at doing service [except AMbanis & Tatas, etc..] Amit & his other star colleagues are just proving that they are very good students who always come 1st in the class since childhood. Big Deal ! Do something in India. If you have so much brain, then take loan from govt or go to cataraman [NRNs VC Co.], start something... make opportunities for us. I am not at all proud about these guys. Its like backstabbing IITs knowledge.

Nothing great in this... be like Tally Solutions, the only successful India Software product Development company. Shame on these fellows who are born in India, educated in India but giving light to neighbours.

I really hands off to our indian engineers to contribute for the development. But I really felt shame that they have done their job in other land.

They must be broadminded to make all the indians to become like them

I know. Having Indian search engine (as good as current google) would have been good. There would have been more competition among Google, Baidu, and Gandhi (Indian Search Engine) and ShakthiMaan in place of Android ;) .

Good to see these people and their achievements. had they been in India, and wanted to start their company they would have wasted their talent in those govt offices.

Fighting with themselves for not compromising their values or just fixing the rate with that cheap babu.

Its good to say we have to build India but if these people were to correct nonsense things then who will take care of those ideas?

Brain Drain is better than Brain in drain .

These talented individuals have once again proved that indians can not be leaders. And that whenever we are given the position of running a company, we turn into swindlers. we are good at expanding an idea that has already been deciphered.

More than the post, I am amazed to read the comments. Criticizing has become the way of we Indians, which is quite a shame! Acknowledge and appreciate what others can and you cant. If you can, go ahead and do it; but if you cant dont criticize!!!!!

bro...it may sound bit rude.....but the truth is ....we(indians ) are still termed as CYBER COOLIES in the IT world.( a popular joke at Silicon Valley) ... , who can write thousand and thousand lines of code without complaining......... even after spending so many decades....in the cyberspace we dont have a single world class product...... al least m not aware of one........ I will feel more proud the day we come really with a product that is truly indian .........

Still they r nothing more than NAUKAR of these companies...this z the reason of status of india

Often I find that people criticize about people doing a better job with foreign companies. Why they forget about Indian Red Tape Government policies, person to person corruption and greed for their own benefits. What about "Bureaucracy" on every step of the process. Yes, no one will flourish working with Indian Companies or the Government unless you are shamefaced corrupt. So before criticizing others, please look into the mirror and ask your self about your own work ethic, I am sure you will get the answer from your heart and you wouldn't be able to make an eye contact with your self. Seems Just Big money or Lucrative offers are the only driving forces for IITian's, Pipeline for Enterpeneur's is getting dry.

One of the biggest reason for Brain drain. Instead of FDI needs more enterpeneurs working for the Indians, by the Indians.!!!!
