Result and Cut off: HPAS 2011 (HPPSC)
73The result of HPPSC is out. You can check your result on its website, or alternatively call them to get your exact result.
As for cut-off marks, there is still a sort of ambiguity there. The Commission hasn't declare the marks of individual candidates, however we have seen a student clearing the exam with 246 marks. There is no guarantee that this is the cut-off, but till now this is the lowest CLEARED marks that we have seen.

The preliminary exam of HPAS was held on 4th September on different centers in Himachal Pradesh. The result of the same should not be expected before January 2012. HPPSC is a bit slower despite quite few number of candidates appeared in the exam.

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is organizing a written test for Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HPAS) Combined Competitive Examination, 2010. The date of application [online and offline] is over and now the commission expected to declare the date of the written examination.
The preliminary examination will be organized with two papers. One paper will check the General Awareness of the candidates, and the second paper will check the Analytical thinking and problem solving skills of candidates.
The commission has already published the syllabus of both the papers of the Preliminary Examination. Candidates can see the syllabus by following this link.
Clearing the Preliminary Examination should not be tough for sincere students. The purpose of the Preliminary Examination is to weed out non-serious candidates. All that you are required to do is to become a bit serious. I am giving a short, but must-read list of resources which must be consulted

Welcome back. Last year toppers scored around 550 in mains, the cutoff for interview was 496. What are your subjects and how much do you expect?
Last year the mains finished by mid march and mains result were declared in early june.
I was told dat the result wud b out in the end of may...can anybdy tell me wat wud be a safe score for gen category??

if new candidates are allowed then the exam will get delayed beyond July this year.
Had a word with Mr chauhan in HPPSC. Per him as per age changes, application form will reopen in around couple of weeks.

i had geo n pubad in h.p.a.s. mains
the haryana guys at my prelims exm centre were saying that one needs a big suitcase full of cash to get selected in hcs. Rate for s.d.m. Is 2 crore this year according to local guys i met in karnal. Anyway the exam was good and i look forward to going for mains there.
Uttarakhand paper was easy but very few u.p. Guys went there for prelims(due to lower 2008 & 2009 exams which clashed with utrakhand pre) this time so i am confident.
In H.P.A.S. I should manage 540plus....lets see... this was my first mains but i felt i wrote solid answers with ample facts n examples in both geo and pubad.
