Axis Bank PO Recruitment 2012

AXIS Bank has also traveled on the line of ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank. The bank has started its own PO program with Manipal University, Bangalore. ICICI Bank, the largest private sector bank of India, was the first to do this few years back. Then Bank of Baroda and Kotak Mahindra Bank did the same. Due to IBPS Common Written PO exam for all nationalized banks, the Bank of Baroda has to abandon its association with Manipal University just after one batch. In 2011, Kotak Mahindra Bank also shook hands with Manipal University for PO program and their first batch has already started to get training at Bangalore campus.

The PO program conducted by these banks in association with Manipal University is a bit different and it gives out lots of benefits to banks as a whole. The difference can be seen in ICICI Bank. Selecting candidates and training them for one year without incurring any cost on infrastructure is really boosting the HR efforts.

Axis Bank has also decided to go in line with these banks. The first batch of Axis bank has already been chosen and the program has started in Bangalore from the first week of February, 2012.

Process

The selection process will remain the same. First of all applicants will ask to appear in an online test of half an hour. The result of that online test will be declared within three weeks and then qualified candidates will be called for personal interview/ group discussion and psychometric test. The results of these processes are declared in quite a short succession.

Fee

The program will remain cashless. Though qualified candidates will have to furnish 3.00 lakh to the Manipal University for program fee, but that money will come through a loan from Axis Bank. However, if candidates will work in the Axis bank for continuous five years then that loan will be waived off. It means to say that candidate will have to sign a five year bond to work with the bank if they don’t want to deposit loan money.

When a candidate will take admission in Manipal University Bangalore then he/she will also be given an offer letter. This offer letter will ensure that after the completion of the course of one year they will be placed in one of the branches of Axis Bank. It means to say that there will remain 100% job guarantee.
